Generational Equity, an advisor to privately held and family-owned businesses for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives, today announced the sale of a majority interest in its client Nivisys Industries, LLC, a Tempe, Ariz.-based company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of defense and surveillance technology, to Relativity Capital, a private equity firm based in Arlington, Va. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

But inside, workers ship sophisticated high-tech defense and security equipment, including night-vision goggles and firearm lasers, to police departments, emergency-response teams and military forces around the globe.

Most recently, Nivisys designed a line of special night-vision goggles that are the first to be authorized under a rigorous federal standard for civil-aircraft operators.
