Key Steps in Successful Strategy Creation and Execution

I hope that 2019 is off to a tremendous start for both you and your family and that you are looking forward to a successful year.

At this time of year, company executives are holding brainstorming sessions to develop strategies for driving business in 2019. I recently read an excellent article on strategic planning from the National Center for the Middle Market. In the piece they outlined some key steps in successful strategy creation and execution: Strategy Execution Best Practices: 6 Practices to Keep Strategy on Track.

This concept really got my attention:

Stay flexible and apply learnings to continuously improve. Companies that are satisfied with execution are more likely to say that their strategy is flexible enough to meet the changing needs of the market.

I have found that even the best strategies on paper need to be flexible enough to adapt to the reality of the marketplace. I hope that you find the article helpful as you develop your strategies for 2019.
