IT departments in most businesses now play a critical role in the ongoing growth and success of the enterprise. The idea of having an IT group that is closely aligned with the goals of the company is especially critical as you negotiate with buyers for your business. More and more buyers are emphasizing their IT check list while doing due diligence on their targets. Positioning your IT department to support the company’s overall strategic goals can pay big dividends down the road, not only in operational improvements but in enhancing your company’s valuation.
